Who's in?

A few weeks ago we proudly showed off the creative work of some of our customers from the card exchange we had on our cruise. And now we're excited to be having another card exchange! And YOU can participate—but it's a first-come-first-serve type of a thing, so hurry fast and join if you're interested. And not to worry, if you don't get in for this month, we'll be having a fun card exchange every month.

Here's how a card exchange works: Each participant will make 15 copies of a card. Then you send the cards in to us, along with 15 envelopes and 15 copies of your card instructions. It MUST be your own design! This means that your card can't come from a kit. Once we receive all the card packets, we'll make the exchange and return all the new cards, envelopes and instruction pages to you.

It's $5 to join—which is only to cover the cost of shipping.

To get full instructions, you can visit our site by clicking here. We're really excited about this new plan. It's a GREAT way to get a large variety of cards from people from all over the world!

Happy card-making!

Hooray for baby boys!

Happy November everyone! Hopefully you're mostly recovered from all the Halloween festivities. And hopefully your kiddos will emerge from their sugar-induced craze sometime within the week. Hopefully.

Today we're happy to announce that one of our designers—Katie—just recently had a baby! But just before that, she whipped together this darling "mommy's journal" that we can't wait to show off to the world. This lovely project showcases many supplies that you can get from Oh My Crafts—including the darling Stomp paper pack from My Mind's Eye.

Here's the full list of supplies:

Spooky Spider Jar

Happy Halloween to all! Is your sweet tooth good and ready? Let's hope so! For those of us with kids, we can usually raid their stash after they're peacefully sleeping. :)

So...what fun Halloween projects have you been up to? We'd love to hear all about them!

And today, we'd like to share with you a fun Halloween tutorial that's been up on our YouTube channel. It'll teach you how to easily etch glass with vinyl, which is a fun and super trendy home decor idea. Oh, and keep in mind that Machelle used the Doodle Charms cartridge for the spiders on the jar.

Oh, and to view more amazing tutorials, drop on by our YouTube channel. You'll find several more tutorials using vinyl—our most recent is a super-cute and super-simple fall decor project.

Happy haunting! And happy crafting!

Which goes with which?

One of the top questions that we hear at Oh My Crafts! pertains to which A2 embossing folders can be used with which machines.

Can I use Sizzix embossing folders in my Cuttlebug? Or, do the Cuttlebug folders work in the Sizzix Texture Boutique? What about the Big Shot, Big Shot Express or Big Shot Pro?

And what about QuicKutz? Can I use Cuttlebug and Sizzix embossing folders in the Epic 6? And vice versa?

It's a whirlwind, really. Well, it doesn't need to be. Because we've got the answer to the sixty-four-thousand-dollar question.

The answer to your question is yes. Yes it works, and yes you can. It's liberating, isn't it?

These little A2 wonders—any of these brands mentioned—work across the entire spectrum of embossing machines. But one thing you should keep in mind is that each brand has different levels of thickness in their plastic, which could affect its performance in a different machine. For instance, our designers have found that to enhance the performance of a QuicKutz die in a Cuttlebug machine, adding an extra piece of cardstock paper as a "shim" under the plastic mats creates a much better embossed look. Capiche?

So, let's summarize.

Cuttlebug works with Sizzix.

QuicKutz works with Cuttlebug.

It's like one big happy family.

Doesn't it make you want to go out and emboss something?

We've got some gifted customers!

It snowed today in Utah. Some are happy about it. Others feel mother nature could've held off a little longer. But what can ya' do? So, in honor of the flaky freezing specks falling from the sky, we're gonna bring you a little Christmas cheer today. Yep—before Halloween. Is that breaking a cardinal sin? Well, you can decide after you see these amazing cards by none other than our amazing customers!!

So, as a bit of background, while we were on our fun cruise a few weeks ago, some of the ladies got together for a card exchange. And these cards were the result. We find them bursting with talent and beauty. So take a look.

Hungry for candy?

Let's face it. Even adults get excited for Halloween candy. We've got some great looks to make your Halloween treats even more appealing.

Here's a fun one with the Cricut. Hmmm, which sounds better? Twix, Snickers, or Butterfingers? How about all three? This cute candy holder was made with Plantin Schoolbook, Opposites Attract and the Boo To You embossing folder.

This fun Imaginisce tray was created with Hallowhimsy, however at Oh My Crafts you can get the newest and spookiest Imaginisce Halloween paper line—Spooky Town, along with some other amazing Halloween necessities in our Spooky Bundle.

If you want everyone in the neighborhood to be your best friend, just put up a sign like this, made with Provo Craft products and embellishments. Find more great projects in the Provo Craft idea gallery.

We found this cute idea on the QuicKutz site. Wouldn't this be a fun and affordable craft to make with your kids? Because no self-respecting crafter would let their child go out on the town without an embellished candy-collecting bag! (Hey, maybe make one for yourself in case there's any extra loot...)

Or another idea—for multiple uses for a candy bag, is this Sizzix look. And for more fun Sizzix ideas, check out their idea gallery!

And as usual, Making Memories adds amazing style to any holiday with the Slice! Who could resist a goodie basket like this? Or like this:

Good gravy Halloween is a fun time! Hopefully now, after viewing all this candy delight, you'll be sufficiently motivated to be sufficiently stocked (as if you weren't before) in goodies enough to feed an entire army. And save a few for yourself!

Happy crafting!
